The Building
- Built in 1911 by The Milwaukee Electric Railway and Light Company (TMERL)
- Operated as a manned electrical substation for 70 years until being retired in 1981
- All the electrical equipment is long gone, but the original 20 Ton bridge crane made by Pawling & Harnischfeger remains (though no longer in service)
- Building was sold several times over the last few decades, being used primarily for storage until we bought it in 2016
Building first being constructed circa 1911
Below: Undated Images. Believe some of the original equipment has already been removed by this time. What it likely looked for several decades until being retired in 1981
Below: Images shortly after we bought the building in 2016
